As a data scientist, while working intensively with OpenStreetMap over the couple of months, I quickly became fascinated by the huge potential these data provides for a set of various use cases. It can help to decide to intelligently place new stores, charging stations for electric vehicles, and more generally can benefit every data science model dealing with spatial locations.

However, I also realized that the barrier to enter the world of map data is quite high: You need to learn a lot about the different tools, query languages, PostGIS databases, projections, spatial indexing and so forth.

I thought to myself that it really should be easier to access this wealth of available features. That's why I created Features4.com.

Features4 provides you with an API to easily access hundreds of spatial features for your locations. The API allows you to use the tools you are already comfortable working with and takes away the hassle of setting up databases and servers, keeping data up to date and optimizing performance.

So, you will have more spare time to focus on the important stuff.
